Long Way Home

So this Sunday‘s the day I‘m doing the Los Angeles marathon. I think I‘m ready to go, five months of training and about 450 miles running later. Started having some leg problems this week, which sucks, but I‘m gonna suck it up and do it anyway.

Some people have asked me why in the world I‘d want to do a marathon. I think it makes perfect sense. It‘s gonna hurt, yeah, a lot, yeah, but you gotta be a masochist to be in rock n roll, right? Think about it. All the late nights, the hangovers, the jet lag, the critics, the bad reviews, the rejection – compared to all that, this race is a cinch.

I want to thank everybody who has donated to the innocence project, the charity I‘ve chosen to run for. They‘re really worthwhile and super appreciative of what you all have done. It means a lot to me also that you guys would donate to this worthy charity on my behalf.

And, if you haven‘t made a contribution yet, you‘ve still got a day or two to do it.

Thanks and we‘ll talk to you after the weekend.
