The show was fucking amazing!!!! We got to the event late, so didn‘t see all the bands, but didn‘t really care at the same time. It was both of our first times seeing The Offspring. The show was at The City Market in KC, and it was a beautiful night which made the show even better. The pit was awesome to watch from the back. When you go to a show you usually see only one of two types of people. There were people from all age groups, I saw a quite a few kids under 10 and people lookin kinda old. There were punk kids, rockers, old people, pretty much everyone. They played every song that I wanted to hear. At one point they brought a piano on stage. “I‘m a serious goddamn musician!“ That was great. There was this punk kid with his balding dad in front of us who had this alfalfa looking hair thing going on. He would just be standing there perfectly still, then all of a sudden he would jump around dancing all over people. Oh and a guy with a sign that said “Free Hugs”, that was the shit. Who doesn‘t like a free hug? The mood, weather, music, venue, everything was perfect. We were pretty far in the back since we were 3+ hours late to the show, but could still see the band and stage really well. Bottomline, best concert I‘ve ever been to.

Dexter! You so made me cry with that piano version of Gone Away!!!
You guys were wonderful as always. My fiance had never seen you guys live, so I am very glad that you came back to town. It had been a while! It made me sad to hear some of the really young guys in the crowd acting like they didn‘t know some of your old songs. While I appreciate the new fans as I‘m sure you do, it‘s just not the same if they haven‘t been with you since closer to the beginning.
You continue to amaze me and you‘ve got a fan for life. I hope you enjoyed your time in Kansas City, and I hope we have the honor of seeing you again soon!
(PS: Next time I‘ll try harder to get those rare meet and greet passes. Ha!)

I was so excited going into this show, being my first ever concert I didn‘t know what to expect. Since I‘m only 12 I had to go with my dad but it was all worth it after the show. We were running late so we missed Alkaline Trio and Anberlin which wasn‘t a big deal because I knew we would still get to see The Offspring. When we got in The Used began to play, they were probably the best opening band there. I had to wait through the whole Taking Back Sunday set but I was ready by the time The Offspring came on. It was dark by then and the lights were out after TBS and they come out of nowhere playing you‘re gonna go far kid. They go on to play Hammerhead, Kristy, Why Don‘t You Get A Job, Pretty Fly, Come Out and Play, an eardrum-shattering performance of Bad Habit, and a few ones I hadn‘t heard from RAFRAG. They left the stage for a minute but almost every single fan was still there. They came back and played Want You Bad, and for a final encore, Self Esteem. My expectations are way up for my next show.

What a show it was! I visited the City Market for the first time ever, just to see the Offspring, along with my friends Nathan, and Jenny! I was so stoked, and the band ROCKED!!!!!! After the show I got the chance to meet Noodles from the band, and some of the guys from Taking Back Sunday! Great time at the concert and a great venue!
