Hey everyone..
You know how the Offspring's self titled CD was released in 1995? I heard it was originally put out in 1989, but as a record or something. Then, someone told me it was originally put out in 1995. can someone straighten this out for me please. Thanks, Emily*

1989 - original released
1995 - re-released :)

2001 - re-released without Kille The President. There are two versions of the Nitro release of the self-titled.

It was released three times.

1989- Original Release Vinyl.( Those big, roung records, for anyone who does'nt know)

1995-Second Time, this time on CD.

2001- Third Time, this time with Kill The President removed.

Perhaps 'cause it was re-released after september 11th 2001... (I'm not quite sure...)

On the 2001 release does it say 1995 for the release date on the back or does it just say 2001? Because I have the version without "Kill the president" and it says 1995 for the release date.

Woah, I hadnt realised that about "Kill The President". Is it still possible to buy a version with Kill The President on it in the shops? I cant remember which version HMV stock.

Well, here in my country there are only Seņf Titled cdīs with "kill the president". I havenīt seen it without it and I have seen like 30 of them :D

I'm not sure you can buy it, but offspring.art.pl has a live version of it. Those MP3's take a while to load, so just right-click it and choose "save target as..." then it's saved to your computer.

I have kill the president on mine, but it seriesly isnt anything special...in fact, its kinda wacky...

I thought it was originally released January 1, 1990.
When the exact date of the release of a CD is generally unknown, it's usually listed as the first day of the following year.

they probably re-released it because there werent cds in 1989
