Did The Offspring sell out?
I heard they did from someone, but I want to make sure.
I love The Offspring, and I am not just asking to be an ass, I just want to know.

I wouldn't say that they sold out. In fact, I wouldn't say that anyone really sold out. I wouldn't say that The Offspring sold out because they were probably pressured into making commericailly successful albums and singles by Columbia.

hahaha...
Well, you'd wanna make money if you were in a band wouldn't you? second to playing, and the label would wanna make money wouldn't they by advertising? of course. they haven't sold out. I think selling out is just marketing a whole lot of useless products just for cash. There's a difference between selling out, and being popular.

That head guy of Epitaph was such a dick that they had to go to Columbia, so it wasn't as though they wanted to join a big label. So I don't reckon they ever did.

they signed up to colombia for less money than they were offered to stay at epitah to let brett do as he wished with them.
