Right, I am in my last year of high school, and at the beginning of last year I met a great girl who I sat next to in my history class, let's call her 'Katy'.
Anyway, me and Katy got talking and it turned out we have similar interests and we hit it off well. As the year progressed, it turned from not even acknowledging each other in lessons to hugging each other at the start and finish of every lesson and stopping to talk to her whenever I saw her.
Now, there's my best friend 'Michael'. Michael was in Katy's media studies class, but didn't start talking to her until very recently and they seem to get on quite well too...
Katy keeps saying to me that Michael is the love of her life and that she loves him, but keeps moaning that he hates her. I don't know if she's serious or not, because I thought she liked me.. maybe she's trying to make me jealous for some strange reason.
Michael says to me that he does hate her, and thinks she's ugly, but he obviously doesn't really hate her as he talks to her all the time, often taking over my conversations when she comes over. So I don't know what he's really thinking...
Now obviously I'm upset because I thought me and her had a thing going on, but now she seems to prefer my best friend who she's known for a good year less and he has told me he hates her and thinks she's 'ugly as sin' (she's not, she's stunningly, uniqely beautiful in my opinion).
Now, even if she does prefer him I could eventuallly get over that, fair enough, but the problem is I couldn't take it if she went for my best friend who has said all these horrible things about her, because she's too good for that shit.
Now, what do you think I should do? I'm still in love with her, but I don't know what shes' trying to tell me... is she saying she prefers Michael? Is she trying to make me jealous so I'll try harder?
Should I just give up and go out with her best friend 'Jean' instead, because she is hot too, although on a more ordinary scale...
Ideally, I'd be going out with Katy and Michael and Jean would all be happy and we'd all be best friends, but the likelihood of that happpening is slim.
What should I do? Please help! I need Katy, I really do... the love I have for her is so strong that it actually hurts thinking about it, I thought love was meant to be great fun... I can't do anything with full concentration, because of her... when the weekend starts the first thing I can think of is getting back to school so I can see her again, she's just so beautiful...
