Hey guys,

I'm wondering if there are any people on this forum that have either dyslexia or ADHD. I'm going to be doing a project for a class in the near future and I'd like to ask a few questions.

It's not anything official, I was just wondering about a correlation between disorders and an approach to schoolwork. So if you've got either and wouldn't mind sacrificing a few minutes of your time in the near future to answer a few questions, could you either post in this thread or just PM me?

Thanks.

meh, I suppose that's okay. I've once requested people with a chronic disease for a paper for medicine, so yeah.. ADD, I'm in. I'll be glad to help. maybe it's of use that I study medicine?

Edit; oh, & if you need a dyslexic in the end of the day.. my boyfriend is one. *giggle*

I was tested for an auditory processing thing when I was five, but it ended up being I was just a kid and didn't feel like paying attention. I do have OCD, but that's not a learning disorder. Guess I wasn't much help, sorry.

I could have sworn this was sarcastic.

Didn't we have like five people coming out last week to announce they have "learning disabilities"?

JoY

shut up, or I'll give you a "learning disability".

ADD doesnt exist, its mostly just bad parenting. but some people actually do have retard disabilities, so i wont discriminate them

Retard disablilities? You're a fucking dumbass. Retard = slow, and ADD and ADHD make you fucking FAST. Prick, I'm not a retard because I have ADHD, but rather how I dont think before I speak. Now, die. I don't care how, just...die.

ADD/ADHD significantly slow you down, because you have a hundred things on your mind at once all the time, which disables you to focuss, which makes whatever you do inefficient.

SMASH, you do know that ADD/ADHD is a neurological problem, tracable in the brain, right? that a constant electric signal is sent to the parts of your brain influencing memory, adjustment flexibility, attention, etc?

I love it how 80% of my grade thinks they have ADD or ADHD just because they're hyper. I bet doctors just put them on that medicine and don't realize it's not the actual disorder.

JoY

it is true that too many people are 'diagnosed' with it, but there are also a bunch of undiagnosed people out there, struggling with themselves, actually having it. people with ADD/ADHD often can't stand authority very well & are most likely the last ones to ask/call for help.

All About Eve

Right. The people I'm talking about are the one's who don't pay attention in class and blame it on being ADD or whatever. Also those who think they have it when they have a day where they can't concentrate.
