View Full Version : AFI / A Single Second
So I was just listening to that song, and I noticed some familiar vocals. Am I mistaking or is that Nick 13 from Tiger Army?
I know Tiger Army and AFI have good relations with each other, so could anyone confirm that for me?
Sure is, Tijs.
(in English that rhymes. tee hee)
Thanky Andy :)
I first thought they totally ripped of his vocals, since I can imagine Davey Havok doing vocals like that, but it sounded.. you know, too much the same.
Did they do any more songs together? Sounds really nice (just listened to it again).
All I know is he's done background vocals on a load of their earlier CDs

Davey does a bunch of vocals for Tiger Army, but I don't think the Tiger Army guy does many for AFI.

I'm pretty sure Nick 13 has done backing vocals for ALL of AFI's albums, except Black Sails; that was solely Dexter.
Did you know Geoff Kresge, former AFI bassist, did backing vocals on Sing The Sorrow?

I didn't know that^
The most I knew was Nick doing vocals on a single second.
Wow.

Yeah, but I'm looking for songs where it's not only backing vocals but he actually has some words for himself. Like the song I mentioned earlier.

It sounds like him doing the "cold in life's throws" line in Silver And Cold. I don't know, though.

*spelling corrected.
That line is actually Jade, not Nick 13.
Tijs, I don't think Nick has any other solo-type lines like in "A Single Second." If I remember my liner notes correctly, Nick 13 does some sort of backing vocals on most if not all the albums.
That's too bad... thanks for all the feedback though.

I heard that too, but nothing I heard was official; just speculation.
