I like have to use water to brush my teeth. I put the toothbrush under the cold water, get it wet, rub it in a little bit, take the toothpaste, squeeze it on, and brush. Everyone else in my family uses water but puts it on after the toothpaste.

I use whichever taps nearest... or which ever one i'm drawn to first... makes no difference to me.
