this will be a temporary sticky to explain recent events in this forum & to prevent them from happening in the future.
every forumrule that is maintained in other forums, is also maintained in here. so no swearing, spamming, trolling, pornography, etc. & it'd be nice if everyone spoke actual English & no txt-language, but I suppose that's a bit too much to ask for in some cases.
then there's something, that mainly only happens here for very understandable reasons. I understand that if you post about your own band, that you want as much attention, feedback, comments & constructive critisism as possible. however, this won't be achieved by posting the same topic more than once. if you want to make a topic about your band, which this forum is for, by all means do so. maybe sometimes it doesn't seem like it, but people do check it out & do listen to what is posted.
this is a small forum for the simple reason that not many people have their own band. everyone wants feedback & if someone posts the same topic more than once (which basically only takes up space), not everyone will get a fair chance. not to mention people will lose interest after a while. say we'd tolerate it if people WOULD post the same topic more than once, then everyone would post topics about their bands with the same content non-stop & no one would get any attention at all in the end.
we are here to keep this forum user-friendly. we don't delete/close things for our own twisted satisfaction, or to sabotage you. we are trying to keep the forums a happy & clean place, so that boardmembers will experience as much fun as possible browsing the boards.
word of advice; if you've made a topic about your band & feel it hasn't had enough attention of the boardmembers, simply keep it running by telling information about your band. you can bump old topics about your band with news on your band (like concerts, concertpictures, reports, etc), or with new recordings, which will stimulate the public to stay interested.
so keep your topic exclusive, as exclusive as your very own band is. I hope you'll have fun browsing & using this forum. good luck with all of your bands.
