pretty fly, come out and play, the kids aren't alright... pretty much all of their more recent stuff. Once you're ready for a "challenge" try I Choose.

Get a tab for the 'bass solo' in Have You Ever...you can keep playing it over and over again and think...im Greg K.
Then get a tab for Around The World by the Chilis and cry...

Good training. Do them in order.
1. Can't Repeat
2. The Kids Aren't Alright
3. Dammit, I Changed Again - (More speed)
4. So Alone
5. Session
6. Beheaded
7. Self Esteem
After this you could do almost whatever.

Well, when you do advance more on bass, learn Tehran, I Choose, Burn it Up, Beheaded, and Have You Ever

maybe drifting off subject here, but learn all the ones the others have mentioned before attempting Tehran. I have also always thought that Gone Away is not particularly hard.

Almost every single Offspring song is easy. All you need to do is build up your speed, but a lot of their songs are only four chords (TKAA) and are very easy to memorize and play.

I'd say one of the only difficult songs by them on bass is I Choose.

cant repeat was so easy that i learnt it within 1 minute or there abouts
the main riff to she's got issues is pretty easy aswell but i still havent worked out the rest of that song
I play bass for 4 years so i can reccomend you few Offspring's songs that are good to play. Maybe some of them aren't so easy but their bass line is better than other's songs.
- I Choose
- Come Out Swinging
- Bad Habit
- What Happened To You?
- Why Don't You Get A Job?
- The Meaning Of Life
- Gotta Get Away
- Da Hui
I also reccomend you learning guitar intro to The Kids Aren't Alright - it's nice to play on bass in verse and chorus.

There's not really a hard offspring song on bass. A few might not be good for beginners. But if you've been playing for more than a year, you should be able to handle anything they've made.
I'd love to see Greg whip out some amazing bass skills on the new album and shock everybody...heh, that'd be great.
I think good songs for beginners to learn on bass are:
Pink Floyd - Money
The Beatles - Day Tripper
The Suicide Machines - No Face
CKY - 99 Quite Bitter Beings
Green Day - Longview
I don't even like most of those songs. They're just really good stuff for a beginner who's just learning how to play.

Yeah, you're right. In my opinion only "I Choose" has got a little hard bass.
You wrote about Green Day's Longview. They've got more songs with ambitious bass line, just hear their first 5 albums.
From other bands and bass lines i reccomend you:
- Green Day
- Guns N' Roses
- The Darkness
- Few Blink 182 songs
