i love the monkees. my favorite is prolly *i wanna be free*. their show used to be on like nick at nite in the summertime...ahhhh memories. <3

I love them too! But nieh told me that they were not a real band or something like that, I had a big disappointment about it. My favourite is Daydream Believers.

They WERE a real band, just not at first. The tv show came before the actual band. The songs were written by professional song-writers, and they didn't play their own instruments. They started doing their own stuff after a couple albums though.
