Before i bother to download, can i enquire as to what genre they may cover, or what bands they are in any way simmilar to.

I've never heard anything similar. The genre is "dark wave." But I don't know what that means. It's a bit of synth rock I would say, the two guys are classically trained and seem to draw a lot of influence from medieval styles of music.

I'm sure my girlfriend had some dark wave once, which i seem to remember was pretty good.

I'll download them now and check them out.

i downloaded the first one, and its not the genre i was thinking of before, although there is something about this that i'm liking quite a bit, i can't quite put my finger on what it is though.

There is one thing though, the song seems to be very inconsistent lyrically. I see what you meen with the medieval influneces, but then from no where the lyrics switch to be about taxi drivers, and paying bills.

I generally don't like interpreting songs. If I were to guess it would appear that the protagonist of the song is living a rather decadent life style, throwing his money about, while on the inside he feels like he's dying.

You phaggot, this would be emo but he has a deep voice and no myspace. And it's not painfully obvious that it's autobiographical, nor sung in the first person.

I'm not sure. It sounds special and I can understand people love this stuff. But I'm not sure it works for me.
