Probably the Presidents of the U.S.A. self-titled album from '95. Couldn't even afford a CD player at the time with my allowance, heh. Those were the days, saving weeks upon weeks upon weeks just for a CD.

It's hard to call.
My dad gave me a bunch of cassettes when I was real young, like 4-10 kind of age, these included Bon Jovi, Pink Floyd, Guns n Roses The Sex Pistols, The Clash, the list goes on.

The first album I ever actually went out and bought though was...hmm, I can't actually remember, I'm pretty sure it was one of the following three though...
Offspring - Americana
Greenday - Dookie
Nirvana - Nevermind.

when I got my playstation, it was the first thing I ever had that played cds. (go tapes!!!) My first cd, which I would just play on my playstation all day when I was 12, was Alanis Morissette - Jagged Little Pill. I still really enjoy that album.

korn? if it makes you feel better, I bought that album used when I was like 14 or 15 cause it was cheap. However, I immediately hated it :P

CD: A choice of four classical discs, Haydn, Händel, Strauss, Mozart. After that Nirvana's Incesticide.

Tape: Nirvana's In Utero.

Vinyl: no idea what I bought first.

Smash, I was around 5 or 6. Was given to me by my dad. First Cd I bought on my own was probably the Offsprings' Self Titled, which I bought a year or two later.

It was 14:59, because the implication was that they'd had their 15 minutes of fame and that their time was up. they were shocked that that album did really well (what? I used to be a rather big sugar ray fan. :P)

i have all of them up to *issues*. dont have anything after that. hmm..you "hate" thanksgiving food and can share my shame in having those cds. you're growing ever closer to b00b grabbing, Jesse!

To answer the question...the first one i had that was all MINE was green day's *dookie*, when i was around 9 (1994 or 1995, cant remember when i got it). before that, i shared aerosmith's *get a grip* and *permanent vacation* with my mom.

the first cd that I bought with "my money" was by the way(red hot chili peppers) when I was 12. but the first one that was mine was dude ranch(blink 182), I think I was 9

The only album i ever bought was Americana about 3 months ago, when i was 14 as i am now. It was a replacement because my brother's audio wouldn't play on my CD anymore and i really missed it.
