This one wasn't very hard. However I've got two questions.


1) What does outshined mean in the sentence?

I looked it up and found it in a positive meaning. I typed outshined as an adjective and I couldn't get a meaning (Neither on dictionary.com nor answers.com)

2) Out of time = lost?

I'm pretty sure "outshined" means he feels like everyone's better than him, something like that. And "out of time" could mean lost, or simply that he doesn't have any more time to do whatever it is he wants to do.
