And number eight confuses me. In America, cars drive on the right side of the road. I was always taught to ride my bike or walk on the left side of the road, into the cars, so you see them and they see you.

Walking, yes. Biking, no. You stick out too much and there's too much risk of getting sideswiped by cars. That said, I fucking hate the whole "Share the Road" crusade. Nothing is worse than being caught behind a 45-year-old guy wearing short shorts on one of those faggoted Euro-trash 10-speeds with a Livestrong band worn proudly on his wrist going 15 miles per hour on a 45 mile-per-hour road.
