Wow, I just logged on to start a thread about this song.
Would you mind telling me what's the meaning of "Closure" and "Validation bit"?

^ "Closure" in the context of the song is like she's putting her past issues behind her. Ordinarily, it's kind of like that. Letting go, sort of.
"Validation bit" is kind of like she's needs to hear reassurance--or at least that's what it sounds like to me...

Ha, Savoir Faire is the name of a Rocket from the Crypt song.

listen to "savoir faire"
It really sounds A LOT like She's Got Issues.

haha, awesome! They are so inconspicuous.

They are in the same key, they're the same tempo... and the verses are similar. They're a similar genre of music, so it's likely they actually used that song as an influence for theirs... but one can't be quick to judge. If you actually write songs, sometimes you realize that you just wrote something that you've actually heard before, and you don't realize it until afterward. Some people probably never notice. I'm not saying they didn't notice, but it's totally possible. However, it seems really really likely that it's not coincidence.

Who cares? They're probably just a garage band who reworked the song.
01-18-2007, 05:56 AM
I'm sure they did it on purpose to sound like she's got issues.... it's just too similar...
01-18-2007, 07:02 AM
it too annoying. She's Got Issues isn't annoying.
01-18-2007, 07:15 AM
And it wasn't any good either..
01-18-2007, 07:41 AM
Wow it really sounds like She's Got Issues... It a lack of imagination to take songs of other bands. They could just mentioned :"Music original by The Offspring", or "Contains parts of "She's Got Issues" by The Offspring"...
01-18-2007, 07:45 AM
I think the preferred phrase nowadays is "inspired by".
01-18-2007, 07:48 AM
She's FGot Issues isn't annoying.
Where have you been?
01-18-2007, 07:49 AM
Yeah but here it's not "inspired by" it's "totally by" :D
01-18-2007, 09:43 AM
Sure. But have you ever thought of the word tribute? Offspring have influenced a whole bunch of bands.
And that chord progression (I belive She's Got Issues has E B D A) is not that rare. They just made it more inspired by the slow tempo, solo bass and such.

Fucking pussy mother fuckers for ripping off the Offspring.... but damn, it sounds good
01-18-2007, 11:24 AM
Thank you very much.
01-18-2007, 12:18 PM
Yeah yeah I know the word tribute, too much even...But when you make a tribute, generally, you tell for who is this tribute, no ?
01-18-2007, 02:06 PM
They've got a song called "Eat shit and die" which sounds like it might be a Green Day song.
01-18-2007, 03:02 PM
wow that is pretty much it. Might aswell call it she's got tissues *drum roll*
01-19-2007, 09:01 AM
I dunno for Green Day's song, I don't listen to their music.
She's got tissues...Oh my god you've eaten a clown today !
01-19-2007, 01:50 PM
