Hey. I'm currently looking for a drum machine to install on my computer to play songs along with. Keeps a beat, etc.. You know what I'm talking about. Anyway, any suggestions for good ones?

Do you mean more like a metronome, or like a drum program?

Drum program, thanks. I thought it was called a drum machine. =\

Rhythm Rascal used to be free, and I used that. Since they're a pain in the ass now, though, I use Beatcraft Acoustica, which I think is pretty kickass, although it's not free.

You could always crack it - it's not difficult.

Eh, but isn't there one called Guitar Pro? Or am I on crack?

Guitar Pro isn't free either.

Not to mention that for drums, Guitar Pro is pretty much the "idiot punk guitarist" of drum programs.

I use Hydrogen. It has its flaws, but for a beginner it's good enough. I have had problems with it recently, but I think that may be due to the condition of my computer, which is very poor.

Yeah, I tried using Hydrogen for about a week, but then I got this Mac and have since been using Garageband's beats. Hydrogen is free and has what you need, there's a steep learning curve, though; there aren't any tutorials included, so it's hard to figure out how to do some stuff.
