Backstory, plz?

in the lesbian anime section of 4chan people would post non-lesbian pics from this insanely lesbian anime, but to prevent it from being deleted (only nude/sexual lesbian stuff allowed in /u/), people would say "this is relevant to my interests"

this was, of course, back when the mods on 4chan were a bit stricter than they are now, i'm pretty sure anything involving drawn women together is allowed in /u/ now.
