There's a free download going on his website: www.manuchao.net (download link is at the bottom right of the page) to coincide with his North America tour & ahead of his forthcoming album release. Just thought a few Offspringers might be interested! :)

What The Fuck. I'm insanly into Manu Chao at the moment and I hadn't been here for a while and when i return and listening to "Mentira" a Manu Chao thread comes up? that's pretty fucking cool. Anyway as I said I love Manu Chao, Clandestino is such a good album, it's just so greatly put together.
Do you know when they're coming to South America? or if they've already come? I hope I don't or haven't missed them...

Hey! Manu Chao!
My dad listens to them off and on. I've liked what I've heard so far. What are some good albums/songs to recommend for someone who's just getting into them?

I've always told myself to buy one of their albums, because what I hear from them on the radio, is actually the only enjoyable thing on the radio. Never did though... what's a good album?

Yeah Clandestino is a hot album, am looking forward to checking the new one though after getting onto this download, I reckon this track is up there with his earlier work.
Just found Clandestino (http://ftp.luchinsky.ru/pub/kerry/Music/Latino/ManuChao/ManuChao%20Clandestino/) on the net. I'll listen to it later.
I'm now listening to the song on their website, sounds gooood.
Why did I only hear about this guy the other day? This shit, and Mano Negra, are amazing.

Manu Chao is phenomenal stuff.
Mano Negra's "Santa Maradona" is one hell of a song! I think I prefer Mano Negra over Manu Chao, though both are very very good.

Sorry... la Mano Negra is my first experience of rock... One really cool band... I remember being so shocked by "Pas assez de toi"... and at the same time, it is still one of my favorite songs... ever.
I also like the Clandestino album very much but except spanish, it doesn't have much in common...
