Not really bands, but I love Russian folk music, your anthem, the Red Army Choir and Ivan Rebroff.

And I know Vitas and I used to know a Russian folk metal band but I forget what they are called (Alkonost?). Oh and I forgot Leningrad, they had this funny song. Menya Zovut Shnur.

Arkona is a russian folk metal band, and they're awesome. I can't find any place where I can buy their stuff though... sucks.
