I'm sure there's at least a few people here who know what I'm talking about when I mention The Elephant 6 Recording Company (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elephant_6_collective), and for those that don't, I figure it's something to check out. Every band I've listened to that is associated with the E6 come to be one of my favorite bands. Some really good, overlooked gems there.
My favorite, aside from the obvious, would have to be Beulah. Of Montreal, Apples in Stereo, and The Olivia Tremor Control are also on the list of bands I've really grown to love over the past year or so.
