Quick Mac OS X question (file splitting)

Is there an easy-to-use and free program that allows me to split files into pieces below 4GB each?

I've got about 10 files of around 7GB each, but I need to transfer them to my PC, but a Mac can't write to my NTSF hard drive. But it can write to my FAT32, but it only allows files smaller than 4GB.

Of course I need to re-join them when it's on my PC.

Don't know if you've sorted out the problem now, can you network (ftp?) from the mac to a pc connected to the ntfs hard drive? That'd probably be the quickest/easiest way. I don't know if the built in zip function in os x has the ability to do multipart zip files but that could also work?

The Mac is at school so it has limited options, and FTP is blocked throughout the school. But I've found another way, takes some time but it works.
