Hello forum,
Please consider this a formal request to turn on private messaging. It's in your User CP under "Edit Options," and then check the box that says "Enable Private Messaging," and then most importantly, click Save Changes.
This is important because from time to time the moderators and I need to get in touch with you, for a variety of reasons. If you have private messaging turned off, we could probably e-mail you but then you have no idea if it's really one of us. A few years ago, a couple people took to IMing random forum members claiming to be moderators and saying their accounts would be banned. This was a hoax, but it caused quite an uproar.
So again, please turn on PMs so you can be assured that a Genuine Offspring Forum Moderator (©) is contacting you about your account.
This issue has come up because I recently tried to warn someone only to find out they have PMs turned off.

EDIT: If you cannot be reached by PM for whatever reason, you will be e-mailed by offspringforummoderator(AT)gmail(DOT)com. This is an official e-mail address, despite the gmail domain. If you cannot be reached by PM or e-mail, you won't be able to dodge any warnings. We'll do it anyway.
