Polaris - Beheaded? What the....

Who the heck are Polaris and did they ever cover Beheaded? Has anyone heard it? I came across that name doing a Google search:

Polaris are the band that did the theme song andl ike 90% of the rest of the music for the Adventures of Pete and Pete. I'd be very surprised if they did a cover of Beheaded. In fact, I'd be less surprised if this is a separate band that happens to share the same name.
