A found these 2 covers while searching through The Kids Aren't Alright covers.
This first one i literally laughed my ass off. Sounds like Peter Garret from Midnight Oil.

If you check ringtones / midi's / piano covers, you can find that allmost every song is beautiful, because you don't care about lyrics, you just listen easy piano sound.
Just compare this song (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=iJ92B-btpe4&feature=related) and it's piano cover (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=dAscVHkGL3k).
Quite a time ago I used to listen Offspring midi's, they rocked! :D The first version of "We Are One" I heard was midi.

First one was ok. Hated the second one. Another horrible remake of the song. Only thing I liked about that, was the video. ;) :D

Well I finally managed to register on these boards (lurked for quite some time now), so first of all I want to say hello to all you guys here.
Since I just found this thread, here's a couple of vids to celebrate my first post :)
I recently started to cover some of my favourite songs on guitar and post them on YouTube. Naturally there will be quite a few Offspring-songs too.
As of now I did Million Miles Away:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hF7wErClEPU
Genocide:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jzeaP4pUdwg
And Gone Away:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GfAXMy2yndw
I don't like just playing the guitar-part while the actual song plays in the background or just playing the guitar with nothing to support it, so I recorded the whole songs and exchanged the vocals with some guitar-lines, sometimes also adding additional lines that aren't on the song but sounded quite good to me.
I also have some other songs on there, if you like Bad Religion, AFi and the like, you may want to risk a view on my other vids.
Hope you enjoy the covers and I would love to get some comments (constructive critique!) and ratings :)

Hi and welcome to the boards, good that you decided to register! ^^
And hey, that's some pretty solid and cool covers! I watched all the Offspring covers now, and all of them were brilliant. I like that you cover the whole song, not just one guitar part, but all instruments as you said. And I understand that you like melodic songs (said on your channel), especially when you have covered Genocide and Million Miles Away. Good work!! :D
...btw, five stars on all three!
Edit again: MAN! You have a Offspring poster on your wall. Lovely!

Welcome to the boards...
Those are pretty fucking rad covers, although I would've loved to see you do the intro to MMA and maybe work with it a bit more...
But the concept of these covers are very good, and you mix in effects on the vocal melody for the guitar very well.
Good Job!

In my opinion, that's the best performance of Self Esteem EVER! Great singing, great playing, great light-show (it's so cool when Greg plays) and great audience.
Btw...why that link? It's already two videos up of this show, and I like this one (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=o6-qfETaNAU) best with 222,000 views.
It's also this one (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=JlGztHbDspg) with 342,000 views, but that video cuts a bit of the LAAA LA LA-part.
EDIT: That's also one of the three videos of The Offspring that we/I showed under a school presentation (music thing, everyone presentated a band, artist or something). ^^

We analyzed songs and lyrics in high school in 1995. I took in Smash :)

Last thing I cared about was how many times the video has been watched :), I just found it at random and posted here.

Heheh, ok. :)
Well, I don't understand why people upload videos over and over again, when it's actually excisting (umm, I don't know how to spell that word) with hundreds of views. :P

Aha. ^^
Yeah, we was going to analyze english songs we too, so I did choose the first lines of Staring At The Sun (maybe life is like a ride on the freeway, dodging bullets...), but suddenly the school year was over and we didn't make it, heh.
