I fell in love with The Epochs immediately upon hearing them on Pandora via my Yeasayer radio station (another Brooklyn band I love). I'm probably gonna get the Epochs' album now. Unfortunately, that Hyena song doesn't appear to be on there, and that song kicks major ass.
Also, when I saw Yeasayer back in January the openers were no other than MGMT, who are kinda huge now. I actually thought they sucked live, never having heard of them before. I'm still not a huge fan, but I must confess that "Electric Feel" is one of the most contagious, danceable songs ever. Pretty sweet music video too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UtUI5MC9tVM
Are there any other bands from NYC I should check out? This can just be a thread for anyone who wants to throw in good bands from that area.
