Um... why is it a problem that bands don't want pro shots of them at the end of the show, where they are drenched in sweat their hair is fucked up and they look like shit?

I can totally understand them...

As for ownership, why would you want to allow a journalist to sell pictures of you.

Maybe it was very convinient for them in the past, but as long as they can publish photos from the first few songs without having to pay who gives a shit?

Will the public be less informed if noodles glasses aren't fogged up in the shot?

I was at this show and the crowd surfing during Self Esteem was ridiculous! My buddy got a video of a guy in a wheel chair crowd surfing, Ill let you all know when he puts it up. Also, heres the setlist I remember (Not in order)

Bumbershoot was awesome. I'm planning to type up a little review of the festival and the Offspring show soon, so I'll post it somewhere here.

A few comments now:

Can't find myself in the crowd pictures. My friend was near the front and is really tall with a creepy molester mustache and was wearing a bright orange shirt and aviators - if anybody saw that guy. I wandered (I don't know if wander is the right word here...) around about 10-15 people back in the middle near the mosh pits to avoid some of the massive crushing and a portion of the sea of crowd surfers (not to be taken lightly - as portrayed in those awesome youtube videos, "holy cow" ha). Met a chatty girl in a bright green t-shirt. I heard her mention she wanted to get to the front on the way into the venue and I joked to my friend that I might have to tackle her, but then we became friends in the crowd so all was good. I think I was partially molested by a fat guy. My good Samaritan deed of the show: offered a guy struggling with a bloody nose a napkin from my bag; he shoved it up his nostril and looked back at me and was all happy after that.

Dexter and Noodles were as cheesy as ever. Noodles was hammered, or at least on his way there. My friend was impressed with Dexter's Bon Jovi haircut. I was impressed with Noodles' long locks. And Warren! Haven't been paying attention so didn't know he was playing!

The crowd was nuts - and it didn't help that Dexter and Noodles were egging them on. One guy crowd surfed in a wheelchair. I was a little disappointed since I felt like only about 10% of the people around me actually knew any of the songs, and there was an overabundance of confused 14 year old girls who clearly did not heed the warning to get out of the pit while they could. But hey, people were loving it and having fun and rocking out and hopefully they'll all go home and buy Offspring albums.

I already posted this, but since this is the right forum...

Man I was FRONT AND CENTER, and it was so worth losing my hearing for the rest of the day! It was hard work dodging all those crowd surfers. The show was awesome! Sounded great, and will be something i'll remember for my whole life. I wish I was one of the people getting drunk with noodles all weekend, but hopefully whoever got the privilidge of that will have some good pictures to show off. I dont mean to sound gay or creepy, but I would drink his dirty bathwater Its only too bad they weren't able to play for longer. Whoever planned that is retarded, nobody wants to see deathcab for cutie anyways Well great job guys and come back to the great northwest soon!!!!!!
