Why shouldn't rise and fall be a single? Its got great energy, good sound. The vocals are great, and it sounds like an offspring song. I really think it would be popular.

Honestly, I think there's no reason that any of them can be singles. Every song on that album is catchy enough. "Rise and Fall" might catch a lot of grief because of...well, you know.

Selling yourself out to get the rise, only to fall later on. Kinda the dog eat dog mentality I think too.

I enjoy the song, but can't really see it doing well as a single. I am really glad that they've started to play it live (or at least have during a show in Japan).

And imo, it reminds me more of Doublewhiskeycokenoice then American Idiot.

It does sound a bit like American Idiot (don't get me wrong, it's way better). I think there are a bunch of songs in line ahead of it to be singles. Great song, I just think there's better for singles.
I can't count how long I waited for Amazed to be a single. Actually I can, when Americana came out...
