...You picked out a cover of a Specials song... Of course it's going to be ska, The Specials were a 2nd wave ska band.

EDIT: for the record, ska-punk is still punk, so your point is moot.

You said you wanted punk and not pop, why would you use the offspring as a reference?

Either way, Bukkake is a great Japanese punk band, google them.

Right now I'm really liking Number Girl and Ogre the Asshole.

If you like the Pixies or Weezer then definitely try out Number Girl.
