For lighter stuff, I like the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich, though it does tend to get a bit too "romance-y" at times. I also really enjoyed "The Woods" by Harlan Coben, but I have yet to read anything else he's done...

Agatha Christie's Poirot. Hercule Poirot, from Belgium. Not France, Miss Lemon.

I also like Poirot. And Sherlock Holmes, of course. And lately I've read some books by Lilian Jackson Braun, also very interesting.

Raymond Chandler has always been a favourite of mine. His stories are just brimming with attitude, just like they are supposed to.

I used to appreciate Poirot three or four years ago, but it's all about Sherlock Holmes now.

I've seen The Usual Suspects, it was good, I enjoyed it - haven't read the book as yet.
Yeah both of those are some of the few books which I actually enjoyed the movie. The book of thank you for smoking has a different ending than the movie but they were both good.

I adore Ed Brubaker's Criminal graphic novel series and its extremely cliche title (you know what it's about before even opening it!).
