In my opinion it's fade to black by metallica. I really can't understand how anyone could dislike this song. I don't actually know anyone who dislikes it.

I don't ask every person i meet if they've heard fade to black. That's not the point atall. People can't judge a song without hearing it.

I think that the Yellow submarine by the Beatles is a damn cool song - possibly not the best song ever written but, um yeah, it's damn fine...
Pulp - Common people; classic song too.
I think it's impossible to chose the best song in the world per se, I personally cannot even choose my favourite song because if you listened to nothing but that song you'd soon get bored + people have different tastes and their tastes will probably change over time too.

^That's a good song :D
Greatest song EVER, hmmm.... I have no idea. Suburban Home by The Descendents is pretty good, but probably not the best song EVER, in the Punk genre, but not EVER.

Goddess, that's on my maybe... top 10 list (I don't know, I have way too many favourite songs)... really good choice.
Another song I really love is Counting Crows - Mr Jones (my secret is that if I ever did karaoke, that would be the song I'd do).

Rolling Stones version kicks serious amounts of ass...I never heard the Gob version though, but judging from the few Gob songs I've heard, I don't want to because they'd ruin it.

Fountains of Wayne. And I wondered why you kept joking about being a chav. That song is the worst.
I can't decide which song is the greatest *stumped*

Gob did pretty good job with the song but I`m eager to hearing the rolling stones original version of the song.. you know what they say..cover is always a cover..
it`s just a saying from my language and it might sound stupid in english.

im all over the place musically... so i cant really name a greatest song. on any given playlist i could have punk (i.e. offspring) followed by post-grunge (i.e. garbage) and have that followed by metal (cradle of filth) so i cant compare all of my music to one another
the greatest song ever written is /insert song title here/
