Dexter's acoustic guitar

It's not interesting at all, but i have recently noticed that the black Ibanez electro-acoustic guitar he's been using for a while is broken or at least damaged on the body
This is from about their first acoustic show this year

It was perfect when he used it at the KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas. Like i said, i don't think this is interesting, i'm just a little bored and i'd just like to know what happened

Obvious obvious ! It is a self-regenerating guitar.

What are you talking about? I don't see any damage.

I think he's referring to whatever it is on the cutaway part. Judging by the difference in the way it looks in the first picture and the second, I'd think it's something with a very flat shape. My guess it's a pick, though I have no idea if Dexter/people put extra picks there.
