The lead guitar riff to genocide is the same as the outro to smash/intro to change the world on ixnay. its just played in a higher key.

Heh, I refuse to believe that you didn't notice before. But my guess is that they came up with that ending part as a reprise to Genocide, just as the "Smash Reprise" is one to...well, Smash. But it was so awesome that they had to make a song out of it.
