I went to a Super Nice Bros. record release show in town last night, and there was another band called the Tornado Riders that went on right before the Bros....I was wondering if anyone here has heard of them? They're from California and they're actually really good --- they have a drummer, five-string (or six-string, I couldn't tell in the chaos) bass player, and instead of a lead guitar, they have a guy with a Cello that's outfitted with electronic pickups and electric guitar strings, so it sounds like a distorted electric guitar even though he plays it with a bow. It's really interesting to watch, and they play these GOD-BE-DAMNED amazingly crazy solos in each song. Here were some of my favorites:

Beep Beep Beep (a cover, I think) = http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pJWHeHxVgMc
I'm A Falcon = http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uc0teq6ARJs&feature=related
Mountain Jumper = http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=imvibdjVr3Q&feature=related
So....what say you folks of the BBS? I thought they were pretty good. You can get their 23-song album off of Amazon/iTunes for $8.99. I'll be getting it on payday~
