I mean actually on tour not as part of a festival/radio show.
For me some of the best were The Lunachicks and Vandals (95, I think).
The worst was some band called Ozomatli. I think this was the Americana Tour.
cool 2 hate 681

^ You not into psychobilly? I haven't seen the horrorpops live yet, but their albums are pretty solid.
Haven't really seen a bad band open for them, probably because i've only seen them once headline their own show, the other time was warped tour.
But Frank Turner is just outstanding liv e.

the best was afi although they were more supporting rather than technically opening. the worst was the start, they werent that bad, just out of all the bands ive seen with the offspring they were the ones i liked the least!

When I saw them at the Warped tour in 2005:
Worst: Fall Out Boy

I saw them once at Summerfest last year, so I technically can't answer this question. But Time Again played right before The Offspring, i really didn't like them very much.
& AM Taxi played before Time Again, and they were AMAZING. (:

when i saw them, Pennywise opened up for them..so.. :) no worst here.
Send More Paramedics weren't that bad... were they?:oProbably more the fact that they made zero - no, less than zero impression on the crowd they were more of a killer than opener.

best: frank turner, mxpx
worst: cypress hill

I'm going to ignore festival shows like Kroq's weenie roast because otherwise
"pennywise, bad religion, rise against + More" would obviously be the best.
As for their actual tours,
probably The Living End, mxpx, Pennywise
(hard to pick)
and the worst - Cypress Hill
(very easy to pick)

True, but they were all so happy to see Vanilla Sky play. I think the crowd sucked, not the band;)

I came into this thread to say booooo
True, but they were all so happy to see Vanilla Sky play. I think the crowd sucked, not the band;)Which still makes them the worst opening act for The Offspring. I mean, isn't an opening act supposed to warm up the crowd? They didn't ;)
