though i didnt know it when i bought it, the amp had some dry joints and was crackling at high volumes (dry joints are crappily soldered joints on the amp). the warranty repairer fixed em up and now its good as gold.
its pretty sturdy.
as for tone, its more than sufficient more me. great crunch sound, as well as some awsome cleans and that old school british tone.
as for the offspring sound, you just scoop the mids and crank everything else. i have mids at 0, treble at 10 and bass at 7.
It comes down to personal preference obviously. Some people might prefer a little more high end, but i like it. my amp is an edition blue 60 r. another awesome h&k amp ive heard is a matrix 100 combo. they sound fantastic great.
long story short, the amp is very versatlile, and it nails the typical punk/metal sound.

Sounds sweet, I'll have to try it myself though. The only offspring song I play now is TKAA. I used to play them a lot but I kinda got into playing other shit. But I will prolly look at a new amp after I get my wireless system. I got an old Crate 212 now and it works and sounds great but I'll prolly go for a halfstack.

That thing stays in tune like no other guitar ive ever seen. Just gotta fine tune it every 2 or 3 weeks. And I'm really picky about it too! So yea they are excellent in tone, feel, and they stay in tune forever.

i could be posting pictures of my RG 320FM right now but....
I can't be bothered writing it all again, so heres what I wrote on Hysterias/Idiots S2A board:
Went up to the Ibanez centre this morning. Walked in the door and saw those beautiful DNA's again (sorry jebus, no pics) and looked around at their RG's.
There were no 320FM's out, so I went and asked the salesperson if he had any in the back. He did, and he brought it out to me. He showed me a very tiny nick on the bottom of the guitar. It's was barely noticeable. He said he'd offer me a good deal if I wanted the guitar with the chip in it.
I plugged it in to the H&K Edition Blue 60-R demo amp (funilly enough, the same amp that I own) and it sounded like a fucking dream. It was beautiful. The cleans sounded like heaven, and the distortion sounded like a moster. Fantastic.
I played stuff all over the fretboard, did a few divebombs and stuff. Innotation seemed fine, tuning seemed stable, even with the heavy tremelo use.\
So I asked him exactly what price I could get this baby for. After some heavy calculator use, he said $815 including strap, a full $200 lower than I was excpecting, all because of that little ding. So, needless to say, I accepted the offer. He told me the neck would bend slightly (as i knew) in the first month and that If I bought the strings he would put them on and set it up for me free of charge. Fantastic, I thought, this is working out great.
Took the thing home. Plugged in, strummed. "Hmmm, thats a bit flat." I said to myself. Fiddled with the fine tuning knobs, and nothing else. Then I noticed probably the strangest thing I've ever seen. This RG has an S Series neck on it! How the fuck could I not notice that at the shop???? I decided to write an email to clarify exactly what/why this so called RG had an S Series neck on it.
Went back to playing, and all the sudden the innotation is fucked worse than a 5 cent hooker. Possibly because S Series necks have 22 frets, and RG necks have 24. I'm still fucking bummed I didn't notice it in the shop.
"Fuck this!" I thought. I rang up the Ibanez centre and told them my situation. Long story short (as short as I could make it...) they were happy to exchange my shitty RG with a good one, and one that isn't chipped, and one with the correct neck/headstock for the same discounted price. So I guess I ended up a winner because I will end up getting a brand-new RG for the discounted price. What sucks though, is I won't be able to get it till late next week. So right now I have a beautiful amber RG that is absolutely unplayable beyond the 7th fret sitting in my room.
The salesman reckons it must just be a crappy RG straight from the factory. He admitted he had heard of wrong necks being placed on before.
Now, this certainly shows that if you have the money, Japanese RG's are the way to go rather than Korean.
When I get a chance I will post pics of this fucked up 22 fret RG.

Well if I could even get an image on here I would....but I can't...as you can see... (Maybe it has something to do with the fact that 1) i'm on my parent's PC and 2) I don't even know how to upload pictures... )
Anyhoo, I have an Ibanez SA120...I don't know anyone who owns an Ibanez (they all seem to own Squires or Crafters...) and when I have a nose around on this thread... Well everyone (almost) seems to have one..wow. Odd, eh...

Hey, did your 320 come with powersound pickups or INF3/INF4 pickups?
Yeah! cool you noticed it. Mine 320FMAM came with powersounds(it's the 2004 serie). I've replaced the bridge pickup with a Seymour Duncan. which was a big improvement.
My new 320FMTL (the blue version (2005 serie)) came with Inf's. and yes, they are better then the powersounds! But i ordered a Dimarzio Tone Zone today for my bridge.
Ibanez stock pickups are okay, just not the best. :)
edit: i forgot. the 2005 serie has a 3piece maple neck. the 2004 version doesn't. the 3piece maple neck feels awesome compared to the older one, much stronger/ more decent. Don't get me wrong, the older guitar rules also, it's finish is amazing. No flaws!

yup sure is. You should definately think about getting one - it's so nice to play and lightweight, has piezo (sp?) pickups too which can give a really warm acoustic sound or really hard sharp sound - tis just awesome really. Yeah! cool you noticed it.
No flaws!
Cool! Mine is 2005 (INFs). So you have the lavender blue maple version of the 2005 model? You lucky bastard!
The INF pickups in my RG certainly give a better, more defined sound compared to the Powersounds in my shitty RX. The bridge is awesome on the RG too!

Alot of people have said this too me, and my friend tried jamming on my BB and couldnt get any higher fret work done, but I took the transistion from my squire to the BB with only small amounts of bother, I can play as my fastest(wich isnt quite that fast) on the BB's higher frets with no bother now, Guess I'm specail :p . Not that it matters, it came off with a quick fret polish.

It is yeah!!! 370B I bought it brand new, with £50 nocked off the price in a sale, dead lucky. I dont think the model is made like this anymore, the current RG370's seem to have "lighting" on the fretboard, which doesnt personally appeal to me.
I've got the action to about 1/2 a mm from the fretwire, so its just sex to play (I improved on the shop set up, but its a naff shop I got it from anyway, they had let the strings just loose life)
Im changing the pickups soon, to DiMarzio which just kick some serious ass.
Next model I'd like is the RG7321BK, 7 string guitar (I would use all seven) with a fixed brige (One of the bands Im in seems to like A tuning, because they are bonkers, so a fixed brige would help) and its also GREAT for sustain.
Then, I like a RG2570EXRBF but Im not sure on the colour and stylings, If I was to splash out, I get this custom made.
AND When Im rich (and I'd have to be to afford the above)
I want a Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier, as, the Marshall JCM2000 doesnt cut it (which Im using at the mo).
Bring on that degree!!!! :D

What guitar sounds better? the NDM or the SZ? NDM > Basswood, SZ > Mahogany, which do you think is better souding and/or playing?
well it depends. Both are amazing to play! and i have two bands, other one plays punk (The Knob) and i like to use the ND custom for playing, but the other band (Celesty http://www.celesty.net) plays "power metal" like Gamma Ray, Helloween etc...and i like to use the SZ when playing music like that.
The ND sound is more Low tone, not so high sound, (i hope you understand) and the SZ has more High tone to play fast riffs etc.
I also have LANEY VH100R amplifier and Marshall 4*12 speaker. i try to find a photo somehwhere :D The Amplifier is also very good, so actually it doesnt matter which guitar to use, you can get so good sound from it, so you just have to make a little changes and you get pretty much the same sound with each guitar.
And it is also a matter of "style" to use more "Heavy" guitar (SZ) when playing that and using the PUNK guitar (ND) when playing punk!
But i use both in gigs in case i lose a string or something happens.
Ahh okay, yeah well, i got 2 RG"s, both Basswoods, but i thought Mahogany had a thicker and warmer sound, but that isnt really the case or..? :)

That is true but the the sz has a thick maple cap that brightens up the tone, which counteracts the the mahogany's warm tone to give it a more balanced or potentailly brighter sound.
An acoustic for a change of pace. I don't have an electric yet, but once I get decent I'll probably get one. This Washburn was only like $160 (around 85-90 euros?), and it's a great make and has a good sound. In my opinion Washburn are overlooked too much.

I agree Washburn does have great guitars and you'll get a great guitar for a decent price.
I have a Washburn WR150 and it's a cool guitar, it has an equel quality as a (cheaper) ibanez or epiphone which cost a lot more.

I wasn't really impressed with it at all. I mean, just because Noodles actual guitar they based it off of is so different, I have had thoughts of buying another Talman (I have one) and ducktapeing it myself. Though that would take a while, doing a copy of it would be interesting to say the least.
The only thing really stopping me from doing that is it wouldn't be original. The Ibanez signature, in reviews, was said to be built rather crappy, and the tap fell off some people said after a few months. In other cases it didn't, but I tried one out at a store and wasn't that impressed with it, not to mention Ibanez put PSND pickups in it, probably the worst pickups Ibanez makes. I didn't see the reason to put $500 into buying one when it was that weak.
Especially seeing I could buy a second hand Talman, swap out the pickups and re-do all the electronics, and buy a strap and case for that amount if I play my cards right.

This is besides your point but don't they come with INF(1,2,S1) pickups?

I hate the rich kids that can afford like 8 guitars. Whereas poor me can only afford one sub-standard one.
This looks like mine, except I have a rosewood fretboard (that means that it's dark brown, not white).

Possibly, I know the upgraded the pickups this year (05') but I believe it's the "replacements" for the PSND which would be the INF 3 & 4 pickups. Let me check, and I'm pretty sure the middle is an INF pickup too.
*goes off to check*
Yeah, the upgraded them this year, the model I played had the PSNDs in it. They have INF1/INFS1/INF2 pickups now. So they're not that bad, actually Ibanez's better stock pickups. I'm happy about that, but still the quality of the product really doesn't impress me.
Also, if you actually compare it to an actual Talman pretty much you have... something that only resembles the Talman in shape, and that's it.

While I hope you're not talking about me... My Talman, nor my RG570, cost no more than $200. Of course, I have put money into them through pickups and I have personally re-wired them pretty much completely now. I just got done with all the wiring I can do at the moment with my Talman.

I think you just had them confused for powersounds because "INF" isn't written on NDM pickups for some reason but they were actually always INF.

I also have an electric piano standing downstairs, but I don't have a picture of it & I can't be bothered to take one.

I HATE those. I hate that bass with a passion. It needs some serious tone control. It's the least versatile sounding bass I've ever played. The tone sounds okay, but only if you're playing punk. It's not good for any other style of music. I'd never get one, unless it was dirt cheap, like under $100.
I was really depressed and let down after I tried it out, I had such high hopes for it.
