Are there ever topics that you see..

most of the times the amount of interest a topic-title manages to squeeze out of me, is about as much as my interest for the poster of the particular topic.

I click on those that interest me not really depending on who posted them (even if I don't like the person).
But I do admit that I read all topics by those people I like. Because those are usually the good topics anyway.

When i see a topic that seems interesting, and see that posted someone who i don't really like.. i still check the first post. Who knows? maybe that person has something to say.
But.. if i read the first one and it's just a lame stupid thing.... i just forget it without reading the replies.

That's why you're so pissed at me. I always go to the last page unless I need to know exactly what the they mean.

I'll give you an example, one that just popped into my head.

A topic about pornography, for example. In that hands of someone invariably funny (such as Joy, The Goddess, Mota Boy, etc etc) it can be a hilarious topic and a treat to read. In the hands of wisconsinhomer, it can, and will, be along the lines of "i get a huge boner watching porn"

that's true. But still.. sometimes i check them out.. cause i'm so naive that i have the hopes that one of those jerks might post something worth reading once in their lives.

But.. before clicking on a thread.. i keep my mouse pointer over the thread's title, and.. if what i read seems interesting.. i check the thread.. if not... just keep on reading the others.

I'm a total snob - I'll focus on reading posts made by certain people (not necessarily my friends), and sometimes only read one or two topics on a page because of this, though on occassion I'll make another pass. I'll also check out a thread based on who replied to it. It's rare that anyone who isn't on my mental list makes a topic title interesting enough to draw me in, though.

I don't care, I just click whatevers interesting. But I think when people see my name under "Last Post By", they get a chill down their spine (or at least I think they should ;) ).
