On my drive to work I have to go up a large hill. Hugging the edge of the road between the blacktop and the chasm is a metal guardrail. Near the top of the hill, around the curve in the road, is a car-sized gap in the guardrail.
I always laugh my ass off when I see that.

here's my QUESTION of the day. if bottled water has been running throo the valleys 4 centuries, then y da hell does the bottle hav a use by d8 on it???? :confused:
I don't know but it smells awful when it's out of date.

because its concentrated in one area in a bottle. If it was constantly flowing it would mix with oxygen and wouldn't stagnate.
oh and at mota boy... that would make me giggle like a sadistic eejit too :)
I thought tab water in England was drinkable..
it is... but bottled is nicer

Guard rails seem so pointless to me.. how is a 2 foot high thin plate of metal going to stop a massive vehicle going atleast 40 miles per hour?

they're not so much to stop head-on cars but to deflect cars that drift into them.
