1024kb = 1 Mb
1024 B = 1 Kb
1024 Gb = 1tb

Holy shit, you can't go rounding it off to 1,000! Don't you realise the repercussions when dealing with significantly large numbers?

when buying a hard drive, sizes are reported in base 10, not base 2^10.
