Ok, i FINALLY managed to solve a problem with my mixes of this song - vocals seemed too loud when listening with headphones. Guitars were panned too much (one guitar almost solely on the right channel, and the other solely to the left channel), which made vocals sound too clear on headphones, and too quiet when listening through the speakers (because i turned their volume down). Now i panned guitars better (about 60/40 percent) and it sounds better. Plus, i managed to achieve 12 db dynamic range, which is completely opposite to what has been going on today (loudness war).
Ok, yesterdays' gig was great. At least i was told so, apparently we rocked. However, i have no idea what the fuck was going on, i was too drunk to remember the details . I got wasted before we started to play (i wasn't the only one though), so i have absolutely no idea how long we played. And at the end we started to play Smells Like Teen Spirit, which happened completely spontaneously, but only me, the drummer and some random guy played it, until i fucked up (i was singing and playing) . And after we finished playing i got even more wasted, i drank everything in sight, and made some weird mixtures: wine and cola, vodka and cola, red bull-vodka, rum-cola, wine-vodka, rum-vodka, rum-fanta,... You get the idea (not all of those mixtures were uncommon though). I finally went to sleep at around 5 AM, and woke up at around 8:30 AM, still wasted as fuck. It was that period of time when you wake up and don't know if you're still drunk or sober. I waited a bit to get sober, and then i drove home (stupid, i know, but i had no choice, and i was fit to drive anyway, since i sobered up before driving). Only now the hangover started hitting me. It was a hell of a party

We got free drink... and food Anyway, i remember that from our own songs Semper Fi was again the best recieved. It's our most anticipated song. It feels weird, because when i wrote that song (about 3 years ago, and not much has been changed since then) i had no idea people would love it so much... I guess it has potential. Also, people who have heard the bits of our songs (the almost finished versions) were all surprised how good the sound is. Semper Fi sounds good beyond my wildest expectations, and if you think it was recorded in the same room you can see in our teaser, and we had nobody who would help us with recording process... We did it entirely by ourselves, and our recording knowledge was limited. But the result is fantastic, it sounds great by any standards. Damn, i'm sorry i tease you so much, but i'm very excited about these songs, they sound great to me, and that was the primary goal, to make music we like...
Dammit, i'm sick again. So is Igor (our second guitarist/vocalist), although i don't have as high body temperature. At least yet. Hopefully i just cought a cold on the party, we were sweaty and went outside in the night. But the thing is, it wasn't even cold outside in the first place, the weather here is unusually warm for this time of year. I hope it's not H1N1, i didn't get the vaccine shot, because in Slovenia they only sell the cheapest one with shitloads of side-effects. Many people rather chose not to get the shot because of all the bad things you can hear about this vaccine. The doctors are hiding information about side-effects also. A lot of people actually got sick after getting the vacine shot
Hmm, it looks like it's just an usual cold, my temperature is normal, and usual medications help (those that don't need prescriptions). I only cough a lot and that annoys me. Anyway, looks like the release dates of our songs are going to be delayed again - we simply don't have the time to finish everything, even if it's so close. DAMN! I'll have latin exam in a week (that means this saturday i'm not going to party anywhere, despite my birthday), i'm sick, and Igor is busy too. But i hope we'll record the missing vocals as soon as possible, at least by the end of the month. We only need to record some additional vocals for Semper Fi (that song has been nearly finished by now), some vocals for Struggle of Our Days (about 75% finished) and Self-Destruction hasn't got any vocals recorded yet.
lol, I had almost the same thing like you two weeks ago, Rok: I played a show, got free drinks and food and then caught a cold (I think in my case it was H1N1, though). But Rok, you were right about not getting the vaccine shot. I think it's too dangerous and the new influenza is really not dangerous enough at this stage to risk the side effects of the vaccine shot in my opinion. My sister was tested positive on H1N1 when she got sick after that party and she was healthy again in just 5 days or so. So don't worry, if you have a functioning immune system you are able to easily destroy H1N1
