Struggle of Our Days has been officially released. Semper Fi is going to be released this saturday.
The day of Semper Fi's official release
The Redestructed is dead. We have disbanded, and will soon be releasing a limited edition box-set consisting of our 3 released songs and all the rarities + previously unreleased songs. It'll come together with a double blu ray disc with extra footage and the complete video of our final gig in front of 43 people... No, not really, it's just that nothing's been going on because of the University exams. BUT we have a new gig planned, 26th march i think, but i don't know any details yet. I'm looking forward to it though, it'll be great to play again after a while, and perhaps the set list will have more of our own songs... Also, it's been about a year since we've started practising properly, we could say The Redestructed have survived the first year. A great year
Bah, I wanted the bluray disc...
Yeah, that's not fair, i want it too! I've never owned a blu-ray disc in my life! DISBAND FUCKERS!!! Wait a second...
What about continuing and releasing a blu-ray disc for your first anniversary?
Aah, but we don't have enough material yet... Nor do we have a whole concert on tape. Anyway, there is some progress. I've been working on 4 songs currently, and all of a sudden i got some inspiration for one of them... And the result is the single most energetic song i've written so far. Seriously, it's fucking fast, brutal and epic. ALL AT THE SAME TIME! The rhytm is similar to Self-Destruction, but the tempo is a bit faster (not much though). There will be changes in guitar strumming patterns during verses (i just HAD TO throw in some 1/16 notes, it's kind of my signature ), and the chorus will sound... Epic is the most fitting description. Lead and rhytm guitars will be very similar during the verses, but during the chorus part they'll be completely different from one another, but they fit so well together. Lead guitar will play octaves during the chorus, and this is actually the first song i wrote that had rhytm guitar part done before lead guitar part (i usually do lead first because of the hooks, but this time i did rhytm first for the chorus, and then i improvised with lead, and it turned out so fucking good it made me want to do a moshpit in my room ). Well, actually the first thing i did was basic guitar part (i took some of my very old ideas and reworked it a bit), which consisted of lead guitar during verses + rhytm for the chorus part, and worked around that. Can't wait till you'll be able to hear this, because it's really fucking great! edit: maybe i'll post the preview of the song when there's some progress. But it'll probably only be 2 guitars recorded by me + programmed drums. We usually start this way, and then we discuss about what we could do with the song. It'll be like the first instrumental demo of Self-Destruction that i posted a year ago, because we don't plan to record any proper demo songs quite yet.
Ok, the drummer started making the drum part for the new song in guitar pro. And his idea for drums is totally awesome! The song will sound even more energetic than i thought it would. Seriously, if he's going to actually play like that he's a fucking god! The song is really going to have some hard pounding drums... We simply couldn't find a better dude to beat the shit out of the drums I'll keep you up to date with progress...
So, we have some candidates for the position of the vocalist and second (rhytm) guitarist (2 separate positions). We'll have to try out the candidates. In the meantime, i'm kind of pissed off because i know what the lyrics for one of our new songs should be about (the song that was inspired by Social Distortion's Don't Drag Me Down), but still have no good idea about the actual lyrics! Not a single line came up to my mind! On the other hand, i usually write lyrics somewhere around 1 AM and it's not even midnight yet. Maybe i have to wait a bit longer till ideas will start flowing...
Things are moving. If everything goes as planned, we'll know if we're a full band again by the end of next week. We have 2 new members, though it's not 100% official yet. There is also some stuff going on. Get ready for some new stuff, hopefully soon. We're back.
