I'm not that old yet, but when I listen to TKAA I think of the neighborhood I live in now. So many people have wound up with horrible lives even though they seemed okay.

Listening to the offspring makes me think of my ex of ten years! He and I would stay up tweeking long ago, art and building stuff, cleaning, and me making sented candles! We listened to all kinds of punk.
