Hey, so, what covers would you like the SRIs to do? I know that the band was thinking that for some of their shows, they should think of some awesome songs by some obscure Punk bands, that are not as well known or that not many people know about...
But really, this is whatever covers you think you'd like them to do. Ideas always help.
I just got into Rise Against last night and I know you all knew the band long before me!
I really liked the song "savior" by Rise Against and thought it might be a cool cover for the band to make. Then I started to wonder if I could imagine Randy singing it, and I don't know...
And I'd still love the SRIs to cover "don't drag me down". I love that song, and both Mike V. and Scotty are Social Distortion fans!
I also think they've gotta cover an Offspring song, but not one that's done too often, and it's kinda hard to pick which one... I think "Change the world" would be awesome. And maybe "Pay the man" or "Feelings"(lol as Randy loves that one, even though he seems to think the guitar solo would be hard to play, I don't know). And there just has to be a song from Smash, as it's just one of the best albums of all time... lol "Nitro"!
And then, "I must be hateful" by Lagwagon, cause I love it! or "Never Stops"
And "Where your eyes don't go" by They Might Be Giants. Cause I love the song (so does Randy), the guitar solo is awesome. And it's Randy's second band, so I think he gotta cover one of their songs one day... Not that the band would want to cover it, you you never know...
Or "Experimental Film". Or "Don't let's start".
I guess that's enough for now.
Forget about doing covers for the time being ... Lets rather concentrate on doing OLE live first
The Offspring - The End Of The Line
NOFX - Lori Meyers
Ramones - Commando
Misfits - 20 eyes
Sum 41 - Mr. Amsterdam
Come on Marika, give us some covers you'd like! They have started practicing OLE... well just Randy and Mike but that's always a start. Oh and I think the end of the line and Mr Amsterdam would be cool too. I don't know the other songs...
