I would really be interested to hear what you term as 'hard folk' but I can kind of see where you are going with this. I especially like the sound of the acoustic, this is basically what I am really into these days.
To be honest, I have only heard 'March of the Mammoths' do you have anything else from the land of Superdope?
I suppose it is important to like the environment you work in, at least you won't dread going to work, when you have to.
I see that you are putting an entire compilation together ... any hints on the influences you will be using, to give me a general idea of what to expect?
That is awesome news ... is this job part time or fulltime? I suppose your dream of Journalism school is now within reach.
So if you are concentrating on your music at the moment, does that mean we will soon being hear something new?
Hey there ... how are things?
Written that story yet?
Yeah, i love mastering, just messing around with effects and compressors (to some degree of course) to see what works best. I've mastered the song he sent me already. Probably it's not yet the final version, but it sounds great so far, it sounds better than the un-mastered mixdown he sent me. It's loud, but still with 10 db dynamics (i might compress it even less for the final version), and again you have the feeling that you're actually listening to a band that plays in front of you, it sounds lively (just like our demos), so the goal has been achieved.
This would be a great job for me in the future, i would love it, not to mention it would be a well paid one
A friend from our fellow band (by the way, he's also completely crazy about TCV, QOTSA and KYUSS, and he'll participate in a side-project with me, which might be similar to desert sessions) asked me to master the demo songs they've recorded. They really like how i mastered my band's songs, so they turned to me as the man for the job.
This is actually good, i like doing mastering, and maybe sometime in the future i could become a mastering engineer, since you only need experience for that and nothing else. Plus, it's a good paid job, and i seem to have the ears for this kind of a job.
I was totally shocked. I mean, i put something aside every now and then, but not so much lately, and i forgot how much money i saved (actually i thought i had put all that on my bank account already). And today i thought about putting some money aside again, since i got some for my birthday last saturday, and when i found out all that cash... I mean holy shit, that IS some serious green.
It's great that i forgot about it, because finding shitloads of money so fucking made my day
Has it ever occured to you that you opened your closet and found shitloads ammounts of money in it? This occured me just minutes ago, i found out that i had 850 € hidden in my closet. I guess it took a few years to save that much
This'll be very handy, as i really need a good and powerfull guitar amp...
I didn't like Gunman much, but it certainly grew on me. Now i love it, mainly because of it's atmosphere, and the interesting beat. The whole album is made this way, it hooks you after you give it a few spins. But when it hooks you, it doesn't let go.
I am really bored... so HI!
And the Strongbow.
Nervous breakdown time!
