Well, to be a bit more precise, I played a bass during one single music lesson at school and then I waited for like 10 years to pick it up again. I didn't even know how to play, but it's the bass... everybody can play it
And the gig on July 31st... well It's a birthday party for my father at my place He turns 50 and at first, he didn't want to celebrate it at all. Then we talked him into throwing a party which we (his family) organise and now there are about 90 invites to be sent. When I asked him what present I could give him for birthday he just said I should organise the music(play the dj) and perform with my band. So I have to make a setlist with some cover songs and some of the Ricetigers' slower songs. Oh, and I have to find band members

Damn dude, the ideas for this instrumental are literaly flying to my mind! It's going to have 2 solos (one will be played by the second guitarist, and the second one by me, that's how i picture it). This song is going to be very metal-ish, at least the second half. I also plan some tempo changes, and a lot of different variations. I think it's going to be heavier than i originally planned... Damn, i have to finish this one soon, i can't wait for it to be ready for you to hear it

Yeah, this house is in a seemingly safer part of the city. It's a quiet area too, which will be a welcome change from where I am at the moment, hehe. We move on 1st July

It's going to be mostly clean song. It's going to be a progressing song, it's going to get more and more heavy towards the end, and the very end is probably going to be a bit similar to intro (again with clean guitars).

Intro will feature guitars only, and other instruments would come in later in the song. I thought it would be more similar to that Death's song, but it's very different (very different melody), it might sound inspired by Death, but it also sounds a bit inspired by Requiem For A Dream (you know this song? It's one of the best movie songs ever in my opinion, just search youtube if you don't know it), but again just inspired by it, otherwise not very similar. It's a bit inspired by Iron Maiden also.

Damn, this is going to take a lot of work. So far it sounds incredibly epic. I named it "All That's Left, because that's the feeling i get from it - it wouldn't be misplaced in some post-apocalyptic movie with only a few survivors left in my opinion.

I hope it will sound as good as Voice of The Soul in the end (but different of course, i'll try to make it in the way that it would still seem like one of our songs). So far it looks it could...
