Is it only me or drum machine sounds better than ever in YGGFK? :) Also, a good cover, the only thing that needs to be fixed is vocals of "Dance fucker dance" part, too loud, me thinks.
As for "Us", it instantly reminded me of a Bad Religion song, good stuff :).

^:D
Yeah, I busted my ass on the drums for that song. Spent about 3 hours working on the drums alone, with the last hour and a half going for guitar and vocals. And that's starting with material I already know! (It takes way longer if I try to do something that complex with something that I can only reference inside my head....yeesh! But I'm working on it). And I'm re-doing the vox for YGGFK tomorrow, just because I figured out what I was doing wrong mic-wise right after I got done with that and started on Us. I would have done it today, but I totally scrapped my throat while I was doing Us. Too much screaming in one day 0_0

This is the "Steve" that Tim has referred to.
I'm stoked that people are liking what we have done, and I hope that you like the stuff that will be coming up soon.
and I assure you, it will be quite a bit.

I put up a new song on the band's myspace today. It's called "Whisper," and it's my first try at writing a full-fledged acoustic song. It might be a little too soft for all you Offspring fans out there (heh), but if you keep an open mind it shouldn't be too horrible.

Enjoy (or don't)~

New song on the Myspace. It's called "The Fool", and it's in the same vein as "The Path", and "Static Martyr". Really short, and fast.
Listen if you would like to.

14 seconds song was really short :). I can't figure out the lyrics by ear :o .
Will you do a mid-tempo song (like Bad Religion's Broken or Offspring's She's Got Issues) with slower melodic vocals and less guitar distortion on verses (maybe palm muting), an easy to sing along song, you know what I mean :]? I would recommend that. For now you sound very raw oldschool and punk! :)

Oh, absolutely.
Tim, and I are working on a song that incorporates his melodic high notes
in chorus form and the verses would focus on my damning growl.
Perhaps it'll bust through the one minute mark.

And yet, we *still* have NOFX beat out over Fuck The Kids (Part I). That song is, what, 4 seconds? :D

I actually have a couple slower ones (somewhere around the same tempo as the first verse of Apology) that I've written but have yet to record....but for the moment, I'm trying to focus on a similar project that Steve and I are collaborating on. Like he said, it's an attempt to fuse his "hardcore" expertise with my knowledge of "mainstream/pop" melodies, etc., something kind of like Half-Truism except....well, different. Half-Truism is melodic all the way through; this one will be very, very fast during the verse (think Minor Threat...or, barring that, at least Da Hui or something) and then slower but still kind of fast during the verse (like the second verse of Apology, maybe) and with a focus on a melody. So it goes like this:
Verse: haul ass
Chorus: sit back and enjoy for a moment, but not long enough to get all chilled out
Verse: haul ass again
I think it's gonna be pretty freakin' sweet :)
P.S. Steve-o, you know how to add lyrics, right? Or did you not have the words for the 14-second-er? I'm gonna post the ones I know right now, but for the record, here's how ya do it:
(1) Go into "edit profile" like you were gonna upload a song
(2) Click on "edit" over the song you want to post lyrics for
(3) Post lyrics in the queue that says "lyrics"
(4) Save
(5) Enjoy!
(P.S. I couldn't remember the parts near the very middle, so I just put "????" instead.)

Okay, here's a track I jammed out this afternoon. It's the longest one I've done so far (see: Jam Session Track), clocking in at 4:55, but part of that is because I tried to do it in the style of early metal and blues (sort of like Black Sabbath, before they became "metal metal").
Although, I can't help but feel it sounds similar to something, maybe by Black Sabbath. I'm not 100% familiar with their discography, so if it turns out this is a clone of a Black Sabbath song, I'll say now that it was not intentional 0_0 I I couldn't think of what song it sounds like, and I couldn't just not record it, since I rarely get inspired enough to jam out a song from scratch like this. So yeah.

I would have posted it on our Myspace, but the limit there is 6MB, and it's 6.7. So enjoy (or don't)!

P.S. Here are the lyrics:
She never knew what it meant to be with someone who was true
Used and left behind, a theft of body and future
Sent away at just 18 to lead a life alone
She got in deep with someone cheap
Now she has broken bones and a child of her own
He's just like you, with attitude, down in the dumps sometimes
He doesn't know a thing about this thing called "real life"
Had a girl at just 18, took her against her will
And now he's gone, so far away --- "Can't she just take a pill?"
He says, and now it's off with their heads
I guess I didn't know a thing about
The things that everybody talks about
Assertions never helped me understand the truth
Just made me see I don't know what to do
There's a preacher man who says he can explain the thin blue line
He says it's htere for all to see --- oh, and it's "divine"
He tells a story to say it's okay
To keep us seeing each other in that way
But does he know anyone that goes against his way?
I guess I'll never know a thing about
The things the preacher man, he talks about
Statistics show that we can't understand a thing
About the lives that others live in the here and in-between
The morality you say is yours, it doesn't belong to you
No one knows the difference between right and wrong and true
You say you've walked a hundred miles in my shoes
So what's the point of me even being here at all?
If you're so fucking right, what's the point of us being here at all?
