Soo, I don't recall seeing a thread like that. I have the hardest time finding really good Iphone games. Most of the ones I download, even the one with a good ranking are quite crappy so I figured that we could make a thread to recommend.
I personnally have an Iphone but Android or other OS recommandations are welcome here.
So I start:
Highborn: I downloaded it on a day it was free. It's a strategy game, turn by turn. A little bit like the Age of Empires on DS. (Age of Kings is excellent by the way). It's not as good as a console or PC game of course but it's pretty good and pretty funny. You do have a different response depending on the characters you use and although I didn't like it at first, the world of the game is quite good.
The only flaw is the difficulty. Most of the first chapter (the only one available right now) is very easy and suddenly the last mission is incredibly difficult.
I also have an iPhone and I really like Angry Birds. This game seems stupid and childish until you play it... very addictive :)
A also enjoy playing Rock Band a lot. I wish it had more songs, though.
I've been playing Lemonade Tycoon on my iPod all day. I haven't played this game in years!

Another fun little music one is iDaft which I believe is still free. It basically gives you all the buttons to harder, better, faster, stronger and technologic by daft punk (kinda like a soundboard) and you can press them in any order you like and put the proper beat behind it and stuff (I get amused easily)
Then theres stuff like Doodle Jump and Fruit Ninja which are cheap but have amazing replay value. I think at last check I'd racked up 8 hours on Doodle Jump. Doddle Kart is also a great racer, you can even draw or import and cut any image as your own car.
Anyway, I could rabbit on for hours about a ton more but I think I'll leave it at this for now.
I downloaded a game yesterday called Game Dev Story.
It's a game of gestion (Theme Hospital/Sim City like) where you run a company of video games.
It's addictive, it's very good and it costs 0.79 € or 0.99 $ for a limited time.
I can't stop playing since yesterday...
You shouldn't use Android nor Iphone simply because they're full of DRM.
My friend highly recommended Game Dev, he got really into it. Angry birds can be really addicting for a short time. I've been playing Real Soccer for a few weeks now. It's only 0.99$, it has 4 different difficulties and more teams than I can count, it's really fun and you can get the demo for free.
Angry Birds is my jam. My HTC Eris has Simple Jack levels of memory but with a good task-killer program I'm able to while away my commute killing pigs.
So, I got to good at Real Soccer and now I have to find a new game. I even tried playing against classic Brazil with Egypt.
