The implications of "people throughout history" versus "famous people" are very different. We're talking about popes of old, not George Clooney or something. And you'd be surprised at how not surprised I was at any of this, considering history.

Why do make it sound like it's groundbreaking or so- Even today pretty much everyone knows a person who strongly dislikes Jews.

I gotta admit though I was surprised too when I hear authors like Knut Hamsun and Ezra Pound were anti-semitic.

Being surprised about the -isms (sexism, racism, anti-semitism, what have you-ism) is what actually shocks me. The world is full of this, and even more so throughout history. The people in the video didn't come as a shock for me whatsoever. Try reading Immanuel Kant's views on blacks. Some of the most world famous philosophers had the most ridiculous ideas of what black people were. Some believed every person is born white - some believed people become black because in African cultures they paint their bodies and the skin absorbs the paint. Others believed people were born white but with black genitals and palms, and as the child grew up, if it was a good person, the black would go away... and if they were bad, the black would spread. It's hardly shocking anymore, but of course it'd be more shocking if a modern celebrity had these views. Except Mel Gibson, of course.
