Overall, it seems to be an alright feature. Perhaps not enough people are aware that it's been implemented outside of this part of the forum and it is slightly hard to see. I think once people get more used to it being where it is, it will be used more frequently.

It's great that we can show people we agree with what they're saying without having to make a post about it. It just needs to be in the Off Topic section so that people who hang around there may see the awesomeness of the appreciate button!
