The funniest thing about that video was how hilariously earnest the fanbase reaction was.

I'm just going to copy (a revised version of) the post I made in a similar thread.
The best drummer who's ever played with The Offspring is definitely Josh Freese. There's just no question. The...
A few thoughts.
- Really confused by those who think "Splinter" is a particularly dark album, let alone the band's darkest. Have you taken a good look at the lyrics to the first three albums? S/T...

Boy, this is especially true. I was just looking at videos on Youtube and stumbled onto this performance: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PTj3KI_z_ps
"Hit That" is one of the most boring songs to...
The entire Lowlands performance (I believe it's on Youtube) is a good example of what I'm referring to, "Have You Ever" being a particularly egregious offender. Pete is missing cymbal cues left and...
These statements all work well together.
I think it's the fact that Dexter's singing the refrain (which includes the line Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki) in a bad Mexican accent that causes folks to not take the song too seriously.
I happen to love...
Posted in a message board dedicated to discussing THE OFFSPRING.
I've seen Josh live a number of times with a couple different bands and I can say without a moment's hesitation that he's a better drummer than either Pete or Atom.
Pete is a little sloppy. No...
The best drummer who's ever played with The Offspring is definitely Josh Freese. There's just no question. The man is a monster on the drums, combining power and precision like Topper Headon during...
The old one is far superior. The new one is super-glossy and overcooked.
Fun album. I can't wait 'til it comes out so I can re-track it in iTunes and replace "Cruising California" with something more tolerable, like a 3-minute recording of my dog farting after eating a...
What Pete is doing with the hi-hat on the verses of "Dividing By Zero" really reminds me of Ignition.
Yup. Fixed.
On second listen, I dig the unhinged energy coming off of them. Neither song is too different from anything they've done so far, and neither song is as good as something like "Lightning Rod", but I...
These songs are okay. "Divided By Zero" is slightly better than the other one. They both sound like RAFRAG outtakes, musically.
Can we stop calling these 'covers'? It's just people playing along to the song.
But yeah, that second video is a lot better than the OP.
What's with this trend of people recording themselves playing along to the album track, just playing the exact same thing that's on the studio version? Why do they think people would wanna watch this?
"I would be patient, but it takes so long" from "Forever and a Day". Great melodic turn.
Count me among those who think The Offspring aren't particularly great at playing their own songs in an acoustic setting. As ilovellamas said, Dexter's voice is just not well suited for it, plus...
Dude, these are really great, but what do you have against full songs? Haha. I'd pay for full versions of your "Out on Patrol" and "Nothing From Something" covers, especially.
Y'all just need to relax. Album comes out in a few days, will probably leak before then. Stop falling over yourselves to listen to low-quality 30 second excerpts of songs you're about to hear in full.
I bounced around to it in Buenos Aires back in 2008.
Did anyone say otherwise?
